I used to find by self joining the online casinos that offer free play games as well as real money games, so that I could practice first on any game that I was into for the moment and then go on to play for real money.  Big mistake!  It’s probably one of the easiest mistakes you could make at online casinos, because you think to yourself “well, once I get good I can play for real money.”  The problem is, you never really get that good when you’re playing for free, cause you make all kinds of crazy decisions that you wouldn’t make if you were playing for real.

Here’s the problem.  When you play for free at online casinos, you’re willing to take chances on a whim.  You forget your strategy.  You’re into the game, you’re so close to the win!  If you just take this one chance, you might just score.  But that’s the thing.  You “might just score.” When you play casino free, you’re not thinking about the statistical likelihood of your choices, but rather taking needless risks because there’s nothing to lose. A free casino game can’t prepare you for the real thing.

I figured it out.  If you want to learn how to win when you gamble online, you have to gamble, so choose the online casinos that have low limits.  Gamble, but gamble small.  You’re more likely to keep a level head and use your best strategies because now you actually have something to lose.  And losing isn’t too bad if you don’t gamble for a high amounts, just make sure to set a daily limit for yourself and you can get much better practice in than free play. A casino online is still a casino, so don’t be afraid to bet a little!
